Sweepstakes

FanBasis provides a variety of methods to monetize your fame. One of our most exciting experience types, Sweepstakes, allow you to make some serious cash, while still only fulfilling one experience.

You can also use this experience type to build interest from fans in a super exclusive experience, that may not be feasible to sell to one individual. For example, if a musician with 100k followers using FanBasis wanted to sell a 1 hour livestream jam session, but decided they’d only do it for $5000 or more, it may be difficult to find a single fan who’s able to drop that kind of dough on an experience.

However, with the Sweepstakes feature, our musician would be able to sell entries to multiple fans for a lower price, say $10. In this case, they’d only have to convince 500 people, or .005% of their fanbase to spend $10 in order to make $5000. They’d also choose a deadline, at which the entry purchasing would stop and a winner would be announced.

Additionally, our musician would be able to track the amount of money earned by the sweepstakes, how many entries have been purchased, and how many people have entered the sweepstakes. To view these metrics, go to the Creator Dashboard>Request tab>Accepted Requests, then select Sweepstake Experiences.

Then, after the set time period has elapsed, a winner would be randomly selected, and our musician would fulfill the experience through the Request>Accepted Requests tab.

When a fan purchases entries, this is what they see.

You’ll notice fans can purchase entry packages- from 100 entries to 2000. The price scales (1x, 2x, 5x, 10x) and at 1000 and 2000, fans receive twice as many entries to incentivise spending more.

Important note- When you set the ticket price on the configure experience page, you’re setting the price for the 100 entries listing.
